Bandung and Jatinangor are located in the West Java province. Bandung is the capital city. Located at an altitude of 768 m above the sea level, Bandung is also surrounded by up to 2,400 m volcanic terrain.
Due to its elevation, the climate in Bandung is cooler than most Indonesian cities and can be classified as humid. The average temperature is 23.6 °C. Two seasons influenced the climate, the wet and dry seasons. The wet season averagely happened during September to February wherein dry season usually happens from March to August.
Jatinangor is a sub-district in Sumedang district of West Java province. The lowest point in the district is located in the Cintamulya village area as high as 675 m above sea level, while its highest point is located at the peak of Mount Geulis, 1,281 m above sea level. With this altitude, a tropical-mountain climate develops well in this area.
